Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Beach
An aircraft flying near a well-attended California coastline abruptly started spinning out of control, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a row of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Recordings uploaded online show the helicopter beginning to twirl over the beach then falling towards the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders reported five individuals were taken to hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
