Apple Watch Series Eleven Review: Wrist-Flickingly Good and Longer Battery Life
This newest wearable Series Eleven delivers the feature most people really need from a smartwatch: improved power endurance.
In other aspects, this latest version acts as a straightforward upgrade from the previous model, keeping pace in appearance, proportions and features, with most of enhancements originating from watchOS.
The latest version is also £30 cheaper for UK customers, available from £369 sterling (449 euros/$399 USD/679 Australian dollars), positioned above the fresh redesigned £219 Watch SE in the budget category and the premium Ultra 3 at £749 in the premium segment.
Design and Display
Like last year's tenth series, the latest iteration is just 9.7 millimeters in thickness, resulting in a slender profile on your arm, convenient to tuck beneath shirt sleeves plus more pleasant during sleep.
This 2,000-nit interface offers excellent visibility for seeing inside and outside, remaining clear to read off-angle, which makes glancing down to check time or messages straightforward.
The surface features using glass reportedly double the scratch resistance compared to previous models, although not as hard of sapphire crystal, that's only available with the higher-end titanium editions.
Capability and Runtime
This latest device incorporates equivalent S10 silicon as last year's model with new capability for optional 5G and improved connectivity during situations away from civilization.
The batteries demonstrate growth in storage approximately 10 percent in the 42 millimeter and larger versions correspondingly.
The 46mm achieved approximately two full days in testing with sleep tracking excluding workout sessions.
The majority of users will just about monitor 48 hours including sleep until recharge becomes necessary, needing just over an hour using a 20W or higher charger (available separately), achieving around 70 percent in half an hour.
When you participate in workouts, the device can continue around 8 hours while recording, which is long enough for endurance events or extended activities.

watchOS 26 Features
This new model ships with watchOS 26, which runs on every version since the sixth generation and subsequent.
It adds the latest transparent design elements, resulting in interface components semi-translucent, along with fresh interface options: a big digital interface named Flow sensitive to gestures and traditional watch face named Exactograph, that separates hours, minutes and seconds as separate indicators.
The best new feature involves wrist movements, requiring swift turning your hand backward and then back to close applications and go back to the main interface.
The feature operates without raising your wrist to check the display, meaning you can dismiss alarms using a quick gesture with your hand.
Activity Analysis
This smartwatch incorporates an extensive fitness analysis system of features from previous models plus including several fresh capabilities along with updated exercise application.
Blood pressure notifications monitor indicators of high blood pressure over a 30-day period, alerting users to consult professionals when pulse information suggests you may have a hidden problem.
The new sleep score metric improves sleep monitoring more straightforward to analyze, comparable to rivals including various manufacturers.
Daily upon waking the device displays a numerical rating divided into categories into three categories: duration, bedtime and interruptions, all being easy to understand and viewable via the health software on the iPhone too.
Exercise companion serves as automated guidance employing your previous workout data to provide motivational messages during fitness activities, such as recognising that you have already run three times this week and the level of effort you achieved.
It also provides spoken alerts when attaining specific targets throughout activities, like specific speed, heart rate, range, period or additional measurements.
Options include of three voices, which speak to you via wireless earbuds synced to the wearable for multiple workout categories, including walking, running or cycling.
But, this feature depends on when you bring along your iPhone 15 Pro or later alongside, creating frustration enough that I would forgo this capability to avoid being encumbered with a phone on runs.
